In honor of Wonder Woman’s triumphant debut at the box office and earning $454 million+ worldwide to date, I’m dedicating this post to bracelets. Owning a pair of Wonder Woman’s amazing wrist gauntlets was every little girl’s dream when Wonder Woman was a just TV show. Not to mention her ability to jump really high, beat up the bad guy to save the day and that awesome lasso that made people tell the truth.
When I was a little girl I would make my own Wonder Woman bracelets out of styrofoam drinking cups to go with my Wonder Woman Under Roos.
Doing research for this post was a bit tough. There are so many of types of these amazing bracelets it was extremely hard to choose. Some of the bracelets presented in this post are one of a kind custom-made bracelets from repurposed metals. To me that makes them even more special.
It wouldn’t be hard to fathom that ancient peoples in the time of the Greek Gods and Goddesses would melt down and repurpose metal to fashion new goods and equipment. They knew how to reuse and recycle.
So, without further ado here are the list of bracelets:
10 Wide Cuff Bracelets To Channel Your Inner Warrior/Goddess
This fantastic sterling silver statement cuff created by Jaguar Paw, upcycled, repurposed from rare antique Art Deco Sterling, in the same style as spoon jewelry but it’s not. It is similar to spoon jewelry – repurposing. The motif is that of medieval armor with real sterling rivets hinging a fabulous gothic gladiator design. The only one of its kind.
Awaken the Warrior Queen within with this stunning cuff! Inspired by Celtic design, this piece evokes the mystical times of yore. This wide bracelet cuff is flexible enough to fit all sizes. It has an antique oxidized silver look to create a rich textured effect.
This absolutely stunning 14kt yellow gold statement cuff commands attention with its wide profile and gleaming, rippled surface. A classic, foundation piece for any fine jewelry collection. Gold is the favored metal of the gods.
This chic wide cuff bracelet has intricate Byzantine texture. It comfortably adjusts to fit any size wrist and the ends are tapered wide with a thinner middle. Gorgeous & chunky, this chic wide cuff bracelet is truly a statement piece that will accentuate and give that unique flair to your fabulous style!
This one of a kind armlet which is repurposed with Antique Stieff sterling silver repousse that is circa 1899. This is a rare and beautiful floral motif with poppies, roses, and daisies. This lovely Victorian art nouveau period piece can now be sustained as a work of art on your arm. Solid sterling silver that was tested and still has the original Stieff stamp. Only one of its kind.
Another beautiful masterpiece from Jaguar Paw. This repurposed antique was from the Victorian art nouveau era.. about 95 years old.. This is similar to spoon jewelry, but it is not a spoon and there is no one that has conceptualized this one of a kind piece. The motif is astonishing — The repousse is an elaborate cherub scene with a dolphin with a goddess prominently centered overlooking the seascape. The borders are intertwined with cherubs and garlands of flowers.
All of the statement pieces presented are absolutely stunning but just a small fraction of what is available to purchase online. If you want true one of a kind statement jewelry to add to your collection, Etsy.com is the place to go or you can check out the vintage shops your area. My personal favorites all come from Etsy because you can find vintage as well as handcrafted pieces from independent artisans. Vintage jewelry has historical value to it and handcrafted pieces are completely unique with no two pieces the same.
A few weeks ago, I signed up to be a member of BzzAgent for the opportunity to try out new products for FREE. It’s a win-win situation in the sense that I want to try out new products without feeling like I wasted my money on those products if they turn out to be total crap.
The only thing I’m required to do is give my totally honest opinion and let people know that I am not being paid to review the products that BzzAgent sends me.
Thanks to BzzAgent, I was given the opportunity to try V8+ Energy drink.
V8 is a line of fruit and vegetable juice blends that were designed to help fill nutritional gaps. The brand is part of the Campbell’s Soup Company.
If you are not familiar with V8 juice products then you probably have never spent to much time in an American grocery store juice section. This product is also sold internationally as well.
Why Am I Giving This Review On A Site Dedicated To Beauty?
The answer is very simple. What you put inside your body is just as important as the stuff you put on your body.
No amount of makeup or magic skin care cream can hide poor nutrition. Your skin always tells on you, but that’s a post for another time.
How Many Flavors Are In The V8+ Energy Drink family And What Are They?
This product come in 12 different flavors. Those flavors are as follows:
BzzAgent shipped me the three most popular flavors to try.
All three were actually very tasty and had no weird aftertaste like other energy drinks on the market. You could taste the green tea but it didn’t overpower the other flavors. There was also a noticeable boost of energy after drinking each one without the jitters. To be honest, I was thankful for the boost considering housework gets to be a drag.
The best part is I didn’t feel like napping the minute I decided to sit down for a bit after a couple hours of domestic engineering tasks.
It’s not uncommon for me to grab a V8 when I am out of the house running errands or on road trips. I don’t always want water and soft drinks despite tasting great with salty food are terrible for us. To me, V8 was and still is a much better alternative to soft drinks.
Would I Recommend V8+ Energy To Others?
Totally! The non-diet ones are like 50 calories a can and the diet ones are 10 calories a can. You get almost as much caffeine you would in a cup of coffee, plus a great big fat dose of B vitamins.
It’s great for those who want a pick me up but can’t stand the taste of coffee.
V8+ Energy can be purchased at any grocery store in 4 to 6 packs and in singles at your local convenience store. If you are more into saving your gas and letting the UPS or Post Office deliver it you can order it online.
One last thing, even though V8+ Energy and V8 fruit and veggie drinks are packed with vitamins, drinking this product in no way should be a substitute for actually eating fruits and veggies.
I know I’m so freaking far behind on posting on this blog it’s not even funny. It’s been an overwhelming few months really trying to figure out where to start from. So many great beauty sites are dedicated to this very important topic, it’s kinda of hard to know where to begin. Especially from women that are way more up to speed in the world of makeup, fashion, and beauty products than I am.
Makeup has been a fascination of mine as far back as I can remember. I enjoyed watching the beauty routines my mother, stepmother, and other female family members while they performed their morning rituals to ready themselves for the day.
My stepmother was the most fascinating of all to watch.
My Stepmother was a hairdresser so she was the type of women that never left the house without her hair perfectly coiffed and makeup applied with precision. The Southern Belle type, kinda like the characters on the show Designing Women.
I was a kid in the 80’s when blue eye shadow and big hair with so much hair spray that the wind didn’t stand a chance was all the rage. Aqua Net, White Rain, Mink, and Vidal Sassoon hairspray were the go to products that made these hairstyles possible.
Every tween and teen girl was emulating the fashion stylings of Madonna, Janet, Cyndi, and Whitney thanks to MTV (when that channel was still all about the music).
Then came the 90’s. When the 1990’s rolled around I no longer wanted to emulate the pop queens. I was full of angst and black clothing was all the rage. But not just any black clothing. It was heavy metal band shirts and black jeans and Doc Martins. The predecessor of Goth and Emo styles.
I never did dye my hair black, though. It was always bleach blond. Even Marylin Monroe knew that gentleman prefer blondes even if they were angsty.
Motherhood and “domestic bliss” fill my days now. Convenience is more my speed when it comes to style. Opting more for jeans and simple t-shirts instead of a tailored button down shirts and business slacks. Despite it all my love for makeup and fashion has never waned. I never give up the opportunity to check out the new styles at the clothing stores and all the new products in the beauty section.
When I’m not doing tedious housework I spend my days researching products, recipes for yummy food, and methods to solve all types of problems. Last but not least I keep up with the latest celebrity fashion and makeup trends online as well.
The internet is the most amazing tool out there.
I spend so much time doing this kind of research, why not use what I’ve learned to help serve my fellow beauty mavens. What’s the point of amassing all this amazing knowledge if I can’t help others with it, right?
That’s why I created Beauty By Mel.
In the coming days and weeks, I will be publishing the best content available to help my readers become the best version of themselves possible.
It’s going to be AMAZING!
Until then, ta ta for now.
